Teen Sells Over One Million Dollars in Socks

“Don't be afraid to go do what you love,” - Brennan Agranoff

Brennan Agranoff is just your typical 17-year-old high school student. Except he’s the CEO and founder of HoopSwagg, a hot, new, million-dollar company that is taking the nation by storm.

Brennan got the idea when he was 13 years old at a high school basketball game. He noticed all of the players wearing the same white or black Nike socks and thought he could definitely come up with something a little more interesting. He saved up his money and purchased his first pair of funky socks and, with a little inspiration, began inventing ways to create his own designs and sell them to the public.

First, he approached his parents, Maia and Brian Agranoff, as potential investors. He presented his plan and they agreed to give him a $3,000 loan. Then, he hired several part time employees and began printing his own designs. Brennan even taught himself HTML formatting in order to create and maintain his own website.

Brennan is color blind but he doesn’t let that slow him down. He designs and prints all of his creations and currently has over 500 designs. He now employs 14 part time employees and his mom has recently joined the company full time.

Next up for Brennan? First, he has to finish high school (which he is planning on graduating 6 months early) and then he wants to spend his time focusing solely on HoopSwagg. He would love his product to branch out into the retail world as well and give customers a “Design Your Own Sock” feature on his website.

From a small shop set up in his parents’ garage, to a blossoming million-dollar company, Brennan Agranoff doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Keep an eye out for this trailblazing entrepreneur. He’s sure to knock your socks off.
