The system’s date and time are automatically synchronized with caller ID data sent by your dial tone provider. However, the year is not recognized and may require setting at the time of installation. Here are the steps to set the X16 system year, month, day and time:

1. At any digital phone, press the Program Button
2. Scroll to select System Setup and Enter
3. Put in the password and press Enter (#### is the default password)
4. Scroll down to go to Date & Time and press Enter
5. Dial the year (2 digits) and then press Enter
6. Dial the month and day (mmdd) and then press Enter
7. Dial the hour and minute (hhmm) and the press Enter
8. Scroll up or down to select AM or PM and then press Enter
