Communications Sharing Device: How it Works

A “Comm Share Device” can be used ahead of the X16 system on telephone company lines to route incoming calls to third-party devices such as fax machines.

This setup will allow the specific line to be shared, so incoming voice calls will route to the system, while fax calls will route to the fax machine. Outgoing calls can be made by system users or the fax machine. The result is reduced communication costs by eliminating a dedicated fax line.
